Our Denomination's Response

After much thought and consideration the leadership of ECO, with the help of The Outreach Foundation felt that the  most effective effort to deter the aggression on Ukraine would be to call upon the Russian Orthodox Church to stand against the government's military invasion. If the Russian Orthodox Church will take this stand, it will have a significant impact on changing Russia's aggression toward Ukraine.  We urge you to continue to pray for the situation, and specifically to pray for the leaders in the Russian Orthodox Church to condemn the violence perpetrated by the Russian government.  You can read the letter sent to the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church here
