Welcome to the leadership news area.  Here's where you will view Session meeting summaries, see who is on our leadership teams and find other pertinent info about how East Main strives to stay on mission.  In a concerted effort to be more robust with our communication, we will be posting links to our committee meetings in our weekly Email Update.  Please take a moment and sign up via the link at the bottom of the screen if you haven't done so already.  If you are wanting to know more, our in-depth meeting minutes for each committee are stored in our main office. The Deacons are our care and support team who address congregational needs, our Finance Team oversees finances and facility and our Session keeps East Main on target with our Mission and Vision. 

Session MEeting Summaries


The session of East Main meets approximately every other month (based on group availability) rotating between 3 hour meetings and 1.5 hour meetings each time. Below are summaries from those meetings. DEACON MEETING SUMMARIES

The deacons are the care ministry of East Main Church. They serve the congregation through prayer, visitation, phone calls, funeral dinners, welcoming new babies, and many other ways. MISSION MEETING MINUTES

The missions committee of East Main oversees the support of local, national, and global missionaries through prayer, conversation and check-ins and through generous donations.  They also review and allocate gifts for student, family and individual mission trips for those in the East Main congregation motivated to go both near and far.  They meet monthly. FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

The EMPC Finance Committee is a standing committee with the Treasurer of Session presiding as its chairperson. The committee's responsibilities include overseeing building maintenance, grounds upkeep and the budget for Capital Purchases and Repairs.
