High School Mission Trip



WHAT - Students and leaders will be tasked with two projects throughout the week: 
--attend, participate, and lead a summer camp for elementary age students at one of the Urban Promise campsites. These camps are similar to a VBS style program; students will help lead kids from activity to activity, ranging from bible story time, to crafts, to physical games. These camps are our morning projects.
--help fix, paint, clean, haul, plant, etc. a service project in the afternoon. This can range from cleaning one of their properties of trash, moving furniture in and out of rooms, ripping up carpet, painting walls, etc.

WHERE - Wilmington, DE & Ocean City, NJ. 

WHEN - Sunday, June 25th - Sunday, July 2nd
--Mon.-Fri. will be at Urban Promise, Fri.- Sun. will be at Ocean City. New Jersey

HOW MUCH - the raw cost right now is $650/person, but the Mission Committee is hoping to pay for 2/3 of each student's costs, so we anticipate this amount to be down to about $250/person. Similarly, we are hoping to have leaders paid in full; $0!

HOW MANY - We estimate having somewhere around 18 students and 5 leaders.

LEADERS - Leaders are asked to help lead students by example and participation. This may include helping at the camps, leading the physical service project, or handling the meal preparations. Their tasks will not include all of these necessarily, but will include at least one of these responsibilities!
