A longtime mission partner of East Main, has planted 9 churches and established 4 schools for children in *his home country of Sudan. Because of civil war in Sudan, he and his family are now refugees in Egypt, where he has planted a church and is this fall is starting a Christian school in a country where Islam is part of the public school curriculum.  71 students and 4 teachers are already on board, they have been offered a building to rent, but are in need of outside funding to make this vision a reality. Since many who heard him speak at East Main (Sunday Aug. 3) sensed God's leading to help get this school established, we are collecting our special Thank Offering, traditionally received in the fall, this month for this purpose.  To participate, give online between August 8th - 31st and choose 'Thank Offering', or notate the same on checks or cash and drop in the Welcome Center Offering Box. *Name intentionally removed on digital content
