"My mask protects you, your mask protects me."
The Grove City Days for Girls Team and the East Main Women's Ministry Team have been working diligently to provide washable/reusable sewn face masks to nursing homes, hospitals, and essential businesses. They now extend that offer for those masks to our most vulnerable community members.
Masks, at this time, are intended for two groups:
- Those who are immuno-compromised and/or elderly (as well as their caretakers)
- Essential workers who are now required to wear a mask.
The fabric masks that we make are not intended for newborns and the very young. Please note that these masks are meant as further protection when it is absolutely necessary to leave home. We make no claims that these masks will keep you or others from catching the COVID-19 virus; we pray that those who need masks receive them and that the masks will add another layer of protection!
If you fit the above criteria for needing a hand sewn mask, or if you know someone else who does, please send an email Tracy Jackson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the East Main church office at 724-458-8270. Please include the name & gender of the mask recipient and contact information. Pick up of the mask will be arranged after a request is received. To make your own mask, the CDC website offers sew and no-sew options at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html.
